Hey guys! So I’m going to try and summarize this week since it was
a pretty crazy one. We were able to look around the island of Oahu
and do a lot of neat things there. We first went to the Sea Life
Park and saw a dolphin show there. Then, we went to the Polynesian
Cultural Center for a luau and saw the incredible show about all
the different cultures of the Islands. Some other things we got to
do were have shaved ice at Matsumoto’s, go to the Dole Pineapple
Plantation, a macadamian nut store, and see a few beaches. we had
a really really good time, and I have fallen in love with Hawaii.
I want to go back soon! It’s funny because even when it was like
70 degrees, people who lived there were saying it was cold haha. I
loved it.After we left Hawaii, we went to Orlando for the premiere of the
American Idol Experience at Disney World. It felt like a family
reunion with so many past idol contestants. All 7 winners were
there, and Melinda, Phil, Lakisha,
Sanjaya, Brooke, and a bunch of other people were there too haha.
My older sister came down for the event, and my cousins were
already in that area because it was my grandma’s birthday that same
day. So they got to come too! It was a reunion with the American
Idol family, and my real family. the American Idol Experience was
so cool too! It was freakishly similar to the real stage, and I
think it’s way cool how people can get a chance to see what it’s
like to be in our shoes up on stage performing or watching the show
live. We got to ride the rides after doing press. Man so much to
talk about! But I don’t want to make this a novel lol.The final thing I’m going to talk about is my first time going to
New Orleans. I was there to be in the Caesar Parade on Valentine’s
Day, and that was way cool. I got to throw tons and tons of beads
to people. The night I got there, I was able to eat dinner with
Gavin Degraw and Tony Orlando, who are like 2 of the coolest and
nicest people you could ever know. We ate at a restaurant called
Impastato’s, and oh my heck! It was AMAZING! It was so good we
went to eat there the next day lol. But Tony and Gavin were to
performing in New Orleans too. Tony already performed that night,
but Gavin was performing the next day so we went to see him
perform. He was great. After him though…. I had a big surprise
lol. We didn’t know that Sara Bareilles was going to be on after
him!! I couldn’t believe that I was going to see Sara Bareilles
without even planning on it or knowing she was there! Haha it was
so cool! She’s sooo good live too. I got a chance to talk to her
and she was talking about how nice my fans were. So thanks to all
of you guys!! I thought that was so cool of her to mention that,
and how we could both agree on that. But anyway, I was really
happy haha. The parade was right after that, and it was neat
because we had police escorts to take us where we needed to go.
When we got to the float is was crazy how many people were asking
for autographs lol. I wasn’t expecting so many of them. But yeah,
the parade started and it began to rain. I like the rain though so
I didn’t mind too much. I was just hoping I didn’t get sick haha.
It was way fun though!Well I tried my best to keep this short, so I hope it wasn’t too

In an article by The Press Association David talks about seeing and hearing himself…
David Archuleta has revealed he hates seeing himself on screen and hearing his own voice.
The fresh-faced American Idol singer has gained thousands of fans since he took part in the hit US show, in which he was voted runner-up.
But at the launch of the American Idol Experience in Disney World, Florida, David said: “I’m looking forward to seeing how it all came together, even though I hope they don’t show very much of me because I hate seeing myself.”
He admitted he hadn’t even seen any of the shows in which he appeared.
“I don’t know, I’m just so weird-looking and I sound weird.
“Oh, I hate hearing myself. Like with the stuff on the album I kind of had to get the hang of so that’s not as bad, but everything else - no! I can’t stand it,” he added.
Glamorous Carrie Underwood, who sang a duet with David, offered tips to wannabe Idols before performing.
“Being on something like this is about being yourself and doing what you love to do. So no matter how nervous they might get or the thought that may be going through their head is to say ‘this is what I love’ and get on stage and show everybody how much you love it.
“Because when you do that I don’t think you can go wrong.”
C’mon, David weird looking?! No way!

Just wanted to share my story with you guys.
My sister and I decide it to drive to build a bear place in downtown Disney California to buy a bear and David’s little shirt for a souvenir, so we got there a few minutes after they open and decide it to ask one of the girls that work in there about David’s download song and the little t-shirt with his picture on it, she did not know anything about it, but she knew who David was, she decide it to ask her supervisor about it and it took her a little time to come to talk to us because she was looking on their web site about the information, she came with the gift card for the download song which I sent you a picture of it and she ask another girl to look for the t-shirt for us, she found it and I ask her were they were, she show me, they had them at the back of the counter were you can’t hardly see them, you could see the supervisor talking to all the girls about David’s download song and had another girl move his little t-shirt right at the front, now you could see them and she started playing his song at the store and ask me if I voted for him when he was in AI and I said yes. I just thought it was awesome to hear his song play at the store.
